First we have the Kelly Clarkson's Project. I have no fucking clue what this is all about. I think it's just to be funny, which if it is, it's working very well because I can't stop laughing.

Up next is An Phony Juice, which claims to be from the 80s or something. It's also pretty bad but also amusing. So uhh... yeah. Go take a listen and laugh, cringe, shit yourself, whatever you want.

By the way, I'm still stuck in this time portal. It sucks. It's either that or I've been busy and forgot about this blog. Either way you guys have a new post now, so uhh... you've reached the end of it. Go buy a salmon or something.

Wow. Sorry everyone, I got stuck in some kind of time rift and what felt like a week to me turned out to be three months.

In any case, I've accomplished a good amount of stuff in the past three months. Such as improving my art, getting my life started a bit more, blah blah blah go read my comic. CLICK HERE

So I've been sick lately, which is why I haven't updated anything for a little while now...

The last page of Collision with a Rogue Planet is up today, for those that are interested, here's a link to my comic's website. The comic returns to its normal schedule of Mon, Wed, Fri updates with random absurdity next week.

I'm also going to be helping my mom out at the hospital for the next two weeks, she's having some sort of intense treatment done. Hopefully this goes well as her health isn't exactly all that great.

Also been playing guitar, should be starting lessons again within the next month.

So hopefully I'll be posting updates of more substance soon.

Well, I got my guitar back from the repair shop last night and am excited about continuing learning to play it.

This week on Fkn Srs Cmx we're going to have five updates, one every day Mon-Fri. I want to get CwaRP wrapped up soon so I can start working on another story arc. This week is where it starts to really pick up and I'll have the conclusion next week.

I have decided to take up parkour as a hobby. For those of you that do not know what parkour is, Wikipedia has a great article on it. I figure this is a good way to get in shape, develop some self-discipline, and even have a bit of fun while doing so.

So I decided to rename my comic to allow me to draw about more than just Gorbold Trashman. I'll still be continuing The Fantastical Adventures of Gorbold Trashman but it'll be more of an occasional theme of my comic as opposed to being the whole comic.

Kingdom of False Existence - Quick Review

Kingdom of False Existence by the Astronaut King is an excellent ambient space album.

It's a mostly drone album with some metal and other influences as well. Just because it's mostly drone does not mean it's something that you'll zone out while listening to, oh no, this album is much too awesome to do so.

Fans of bands such as Bongripper, Sunn O))), Boris, Yawning Man and Earth are likely to enjoy this album.

My favorite tracks off this album are: Kingdom of False Existence (the title track), Throne of the Atmosphere, Temporarily Delayed Extinction, and Enthralled by Perpetuation, and Sovereign to the Soulless.

Aion, and some other things

So I bought a copy of Aion last week. It's a pretty well made game, still needs some work as it's new but other than that it's fairly good.

I've been playing a Templar, which is the tank class. It's the worst class to level from what I've heard, lol.

The graphics are awesome, all but the ground textures are amazing and the character models are better than any other game I've played, except maybe Crysis. The gameplay is decent. All in all I'd give it 8/10 stars as of how it is right now. If you're into MMORPGs then you'll enjoy it.

As to other things I've been up to, that comic class was canceled but I did get a tour of the art program at the college so I'm planning on going for an art degree of some sort. Planning on going back to school this Spring.

Still haven't gotten my guitar back yet. Thinking about taking up piano as well as guitar seeing as how I have a keyboard that needs some use.

Cartooning Classes, etc.

Hey Guys,

I apologize for not posting in over a week.

Alright, so I'm going to be taking a class on cartooning/comics over the next couple months. My comic should definitely start improving fairly quickly once that starts.

I still haven't gotten my guitar back from the shop as they're fairly backed up, but as soon as I get that back I'm gonna be a pretty happy guy.

Also, if you haven't seen the latest story arc of my comic, here's a link to the start. It's only three pages long but I think that's pretty good for being my first story arc. link

On a final note, I hope to get some pictures of the leaves changing over the next few days and I'll get around to posting those hopefully by the end of the week.

Instrument

This is something that started in a conversation with a friend and grew from there:

Instrument:

People don't get it, a guitar is more than just an object, it's an instrument.

It's not just about what it is, it's about what it does.

It allows a person to tap into some part of their psyche, some part of their mind, and create sounds in an organized (or disorganized) manner to make music, which is a very important thing for many people.

Imagine now, if you will, how it feels to have one person playing an instrument.

Then think about how it is to have more than one play an instrument.

Now imagine them create a structured group of noises played in a preplanned sequence.

There is a song, which is a wonderful thing.

Now imagine those people being disbanded, and their instruments taken away... 'tis an awful thing.

Now maybe you can see why I want my god damn guitar back, otherwise I may start banging random objects together to try and make music, lol.

I'm supposed to be getting a new guitar soon as my old one was trashed by a family member that was having a bad day. Here's the guitar I was looking at getting, the Schecter Tempest Custom. I think it's a real beauty. Hopefully my family member doesn't give me a lot of crap because the old one was totaled by them and they owe me a new guitar, and this beautful $600 one (and maybe a hard case too) is less expensive than many of the others I was looking at. So basically I should have a new guitar to play soon! Awesome! :D

So I'm going to be gone for the first half or so of next week on a bike ride. I'm going to be riding somewhere between 120-180 miles across part of western NC. It's a pretty cool event, here's the website. I'm doing the three day ride. I'll write a short blog about this adventure when I get back.

Satan's Basement

Lemme tell ya, of all the underground music I've heard, Satan's Basement is among the best. I own his second album, Cerebral Apocalypse, and a few of his latest singles. The heavy, distorted guitar; the fast paced, hellish drums; and the guttural, demonic screaming make me think that this was actually performed and recorded in the depths of hell by a multitude of demons and other such vile creatures. I highly recommend that you go and check out Satan's Basement right now and take a good listen if you love any form of metal. I give SB 5/5 stars, 7/7 severed heads, 3/2 bad fractions.
